After many years it finally happened! We finished our first season and unlike many corps that have tried, we did not loose our shirts in the process! I was soaked on 7/31 as I unloaded the bus at the office for the last time for 2010, but it was a good rain. After everything was in place in the storage room I went up to the second floor of the building and sat in the office for an solid hour, cold wet and dark since I did not bother to turn the lights on. I thought about everyting that happen and what we did which can never be replicated again. I wish I could having giving a better farewell speech but I would have fell apart in front of everyone and that would have been a disaster, probably funny to the membership. At the moment I'm already setting things in motion for 2011, yes we will have uniforms going forward, newer equipment, greater numbers, more out of state travel and even a few international trips, but nothing will ever compare to this moment.
